Abby Schoffstall added a career-high 13 points for East Stroudsburg University in a 68-64 road win at Shippensburg on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors (7-7, 4-3 PSAC) led by double figures for a majority of the final three quarters before fending off a late charge from the Raiders (6-8, 3-4 PSAC). Shippensburg pulled within two points with five seconds remaining, but a pair of free throws by Lapotsky on the other end secured the victory for the visitors.
Lapotsky hit 9 of 10 free throw attempts overall while reaching double figures for a seventh consecutive game. Junior

ESU has now won back-to-back games at Shippensburg after snapping a 19-game road losing streak in the series a year ago. The Warriors end a month-long road swing with a 4-3 record, and they remain one game back of Bloomsburg (9-5, 5-2 PSAC) for first place in the PSAC East standings.
The Warriors led 12-10 at the end of the first quarter despite shooting 6 of 18 from the field and 0 for 9 from 3-point range. The two teams combined for 14 turnovers in the opening 10 minutes of play.
The shots started to fall in the following quarter, as ESU hit its first five attempts from long distance while starting the second on a 17-4 run. Schoffstall hit two of those five 3-pointers, and she ultimately went 5 for 9 from the field while scoring in double figures for the first time in her collegiate career.
The visitors would take a 38-27 lead into the intermission. They maintained a double-digit advantage throughout the third quarter, taking their largest lead of 48-32 following a Lapotsky lay-up midway through the frame.
Ariel Jones, the PSAC's leading scorer at 25.4 points per game entering the contest, had 11 points during an attempted fourth quarter rally for Shippensburg. ESU, though, hit 13 of 18 free throws in the second half to hold on for the victory.
Jones had a game-high 30 points on 10 of 26 shooting from the floor. She also recorded seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Hertz's eight assists were one shy of her season-high, as she continues to lead the PSAC with 5.6 assists per game overall. Her six steals matched a career-best originally established on Nov. 20, 2016 against Pitt-Johnstown.
ESU returns to Koehler Fieldhouse for the first time since Dec. 3 on Wednesday, as the Warriors host Lock Haven (8-5, 4-3 PSAC) in a PSAC East matchup beginning at 6 p.m.
