BLOOMSBURG, Pa. –
Mandy Fine and
Rachael Davalos earned All-Conference Honors as the duo paced the East Stroudsburg University women's cross country team at the PSAC Championships on Friday. The Warriors placed 12
th overall in the 6k race with 248 team points and an average time of 24:17.
Fine posted ESU's top finish of the day, claiming 24
th place in a time of 23:28.6 to collect All-PSAC Second Team honors for the first time in her career. Fine finished just under 11 seconds ahead of Davalos, who registered a 27
th-place showing with a time of 23:39.5. Davalos joined Fine with All-PSAC Second Team honors, as she earned recognition for the second time of her career after also claiming All-Conference honors as a sophomore in 2017.
The performances from Fine and Davalos gave the Warriors multiple All-Conference performers for the first time since the 2017 Championships.
The Warriors had three other runners finish in the top-70, with
Jenna Vledder taking 62
nd place in 24:40.6,
Holly Orr finishing 67
th with a time of 24:45.7, and
Brittany Carratura registering a 68
th-place finish in 24:46.3.
Rounding out the scoring for ESU on the day were
Kylie Stangle (25:11.9) and
Haven Snyder (25:26.0).
Edinboro took home the title with 60 team points and an average time of 22:43, while West Chester (95 pts) and Seton Hill (99) rounded out the top three. Stefanie Parsons of Edinboro won the individual championship with a time of 21:43.8.
ESU will next head to the Go Fast/River Run hosted by Lock Haven on November 2.
