YORK, Pa. – Junior Olivia Lukshides broke her own school record in the 200-yard freestyle, highlighting Day 2 of the PSAC Swimming Championships for East Stroudsburg University.

Lukshides placed 11th in Thursday night's 'B' final with a time of 1:55.70. That was 0.09 under her previous career-best which was set at last year's conference meet, when she qualified for the 'A' final and ultimately finished in seventh place.

Lukshides has now scored in each of her first two individual finals, as she took 10th place in yesterday's 50 free 'B' final. She has scored eight times individually at PSAC's during her Warrior career.

Senior Briana Hall also made it to the evening session for a second-consecutive day, qualifying for the 'C' final in the 100 butterfly with a season-best mark of 59.19. She ended up in 18th place in the event after completing her final in 59.59.

The Warriors are in ninth place as a team midway through the conference meet with 166 points. Their remaining points on Thursday were earned through a 10th place finish by Lukshides, sophomore Taylor Howery, freshman Emma Billings and Hall in the 200 free relay (1:39.85) and an 11th place result by Howery, sophomore Julia Harnish, Hall and Lukshides in the 400 medley relay (4:05.54).

Lukshides matched her 50 free PR of 24.42 while leading off the 200 free relay. That time ranks third in program history.

Other season-bests in the morning preliminary swims were recorded by freshman Sarah Luigard in the 400 individual medley (4:54.61), junior Tarah Killane in the 200 free (2:01.18) and junior Alexandra Ferrante in the 200 free (2:07.22).

The PSAC Championships continue on Friday with individual finals in the 500 free, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and 200 fly. Preliminaries start at 10 a.m., with the finals getting underway at 6 p.m.
