YORK, Pa. – Junior Olivia Lukshides broke the 100-yard freestyle school record during the preliminary round, and ultimately placed fifth in Saturday evening's 'A' final to lead East Stroudsburg University on the final day of the 2019 PSAC Swimming Championships.

The Warriors ended the four-day meet with a ninth-place finish in the team standings. Their total of 291.5 points edged 10th-place Kutztown by eight points.

Lukshides demolished her previous PR of 53.37 in the 100 free, as she advanced to the 'A' final as the No. 3 qualifier after posting a 52.16 in the prelims. That mark was over a half-second under Annie Fagan's old ESU record of 52.71, and it was only 0.05 off the Division II 'B' standard of 52.11.

The school record was Lukshides' second of the competition, as she broke her own mark in the 200 free with a time of 1:55.70. Lukshides touched the wall in 52.30 during Saturday night's 100 free final, giving ESU its third individual top-five finish at PSAC's over the past nine seasons.

Lukshides placed 11th or higher in each of her three individual races this week, as she took 10th in the 50 free and 11th in the 200 free.

The Warriors had three individual scorers overall on Saturday, as junior Tarah Killane and senior Briana Hall also cracked the top-24 in the 1650 free and 100 free, respectively.

Killane registered her highest-ever finish at PSAC's, as she placed 14th in the meet's longest event with a season-best time of 18:06.70. That mark is less than 10 seconds off her PR of 17:57.33 which ranks No. 2 in program history.

Hall closed out her collegiate career with a season-best time of 54.03 in the 100 free 'C' final, finishing tied for 21st in the event overall. She scored in each of her three individual events this week, and she also added a memorable 23.67 split time to anchor ESU's 200 free relay on Thursday.

The Warriors took 10th place in the 400 free relay to conclude the meet, with Lukshides, sophomore Taylor Howery, freshman Emma Billings and Hall recording a time of 3:36.77.

Additional PR's in the preliminary round were set by Howery in the 200 backstroke (2:15.86), freshman Sarah Luigard in the 200 breaststroke (2:36.01) and junior Alexandra Ferrante in the 1650 free (19:25.85). Howery's mark ranks 10th all-time in ESU history.

West Chester won its 13th straight PSAC championship with a final points total of 1568. IUP was well behind in second place with 929.5 points.
