Game 1: ESU 15, Glenville State 5

The Warriors broke open what had been a 1-1 game after four innings with five runs in the fifth and nine insurance tallies in the sixth.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Caleen, freshman Lexi Wright, Spencer and junior Kaylee Hazewski each had RBIs in ESU's five-run fifth. Big plays in the sixth included a two-run single by Cecchin, and a wind-aided fly ball to center by freshman Denva Shaw-Tait which went off the outfielder's glove and ultimately scored three runs.

Caleen led the offense with three hits, recording her first multi-hit game of the season. Shaw-Tait added three runs scored and two steals, while Wright and Cecchin each had two RBIs.

Freshman Mikayla Pourby and Grow each worked three innings in the circle, and neither allowed an earned run. Pourby struck out three and did not allow a hit in her three innings, while Grow (1-0) surrendered just three hits across the final three innings.
