Crines Cracks Top Five, Leads ESU Women’s Golf at Ursinus Weekend Tournament

RISING SUN, Md. – Sophomore Micaela Crines matched her season-best with a round of 82 on Sunday, lifting her into the top five of the individual standings to highlight East Stroudsburg University's weekend at the Ursinus Revolutionary Classic.

Crines placed fifth out of 34 golfers with a two-day score of 171, as she took seven strokes off her score from the opening round of the tournament on Saturday. The Warriors finished fifth out of six schools in the team standings with an overall score of 811 (412-399).

Junior Amy Bergquist was one stroke away from a top-10 finish, earning a 12th place finish after carding rounds of 89 and 87. Freshman Shannon Campbell added a collegiate best round of 98 on Sunday, 12 strokes under her performance on Day 1.

Jefferson topped the team standings with a two-day score of 678 (357-321), and the Rams' Kinley Lingenfelter was the top individual finisher with a final score of 156 (83-73).

ESU returns to action on Sunday, April 7, taking part in Kutztown's Spring Invitational at Moselem Springs Golf Club.
