Shannon Dent added a career-high six points as No. 8 East Stroudsburg University rolled to a 20-6 home win over Slippery Rock at Whitenight Field on Saturday.
The Warriors (8-2, 5-0 PSAC) won their sixth game in a row, and they remain the only PSAC team unbeaten in league play. ESU held the Rock (3-5, 2-3 PSAC) without a goal for over 30 minutes during the middle stages of the contest.
Mitarotonda's milestone goal, her second of the game, gave the Warriors a 3-2 lead three and a half minutes in. The score was tied 4-4 midway through the opening half, when a goal by sophomore
Gianna LeDuc began a 10-0 run for the home side which put the game out of reach.
ESU had a 36-17 advantage in shots, and the Warrior defense forced 32 Slippery Rock turnovers while allowing the visitors to be successful on just 13 of 27 clearing attempts. Sophomore

Twelve different Warriors had at least one point offensively. Dent's six points came on three goals and three assists, as she surpassed her previous best of five points (2 G, 3 A) during last weekend's 20-3 win at Edinboro.
