KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Senior Emma Rufolo and sophomore Krista Mitarotonda had four goals each, while senior TJ Jefferis totaled a season-high six points as No. 11 East Stroudsburg University dominated the final 45 minutes in an 18-6 win at Kutztown on Wednesday.

The teams were tied 5-5 after 15 minutes when a goal by Mitarotonda began an 8-0 run for the Warriors (10-3, 7-1 PSAC) heading into the intermission. ESU would then score five of the contest's six goals after the break, limiting the Golden Bears (5-6, 4-4 PSAC) to a single marker after the midway point of the first half.

Jefferis had three goals and three assists to register her fifth-consecutive hat trick. Sophomore Shannon Dent added two goals and three assists in the victory; she has recorded five or more points in four of ESU's last six games.

All four of Mitarotonda's goals came during a first half which saw the Warriors outshoot Kutztown by a 34-8 margin. ESU controlled possession throughout, ending the evening with a 20-6 edge in draw controls. Rufolo finished with a team-high seven, while Mitarotonda followed with six and sophomore Brielle Curtis had three.

Junior Cassidy McKenna chipped in a pair of goals, as she tallied her sixth multi-goal game of the season. Sophomore Gianna LeDuc (1 G, 2 A), junior Hana Cicerelle (1 G, 1 A), freshman Madison Bagatta (1 G) and sophomore Deirdre Enright (1 A) rounded out the scoring.

Junior Tatyana Petteway made seven saves over the first 54:30 of the game, while junior Michelle Dyck added a pair of stops in the closing minutes of regulation.

Mitarotonda's hat trick was the 20th of her Warrior career. Jefferis now has 175 career points, moving her into a tie with Chessie Rahmer for eight place in program history.

ESU has won 15 of the past 16 matchups against the Golden Bears, and the Warriors maintain their half-game lead over West Chester for first place in the PSAC standings.

After three-straight games away from home, ESU returns to Whitenight Field for a 12 p.m. contest against Gannon on Saturday. Rufolo, Jefferis, Brooke Fritz, Natalie Jacobs and Kendahl Nester will be recognized in a Senior Day ceremony prior to the opening draw.
