BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's tennis team completed the two-day Bloomsburg Invitational on Sunday at the Burt Reese Tennis Center. The tournament consisted of members from ESU, Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Shippensburg.
In the doubles portion of the invitational, the Warriors would see the duo of senior
Marina Zardet and junior
Quinn McCluskey along with senior
Aubrianna Stetina and junior
Amanda Jackson reach the quarterfinals after opening-round victories.
Zardet and McCluskey won their match 6-1 for the Warriors, while Stetina and Jackson received a bye. Stetina and Jackson moved to the backdraw bracket of the doubles competition after falling 6-0, while Zardet and McCluskey advanced to the semifinals following a 7-6 victory.

Briana Young and senior
Ivanna Pittman advanced to the backdraw portion of the bracket after winning 6-0 in their second match. The combos of Stetina and Jackson along with Young and Zardet would each go 1-1 as both won their second matches 6-0.
In the top flight of singles action Zardet won her opening match 6-0, 6-0 against Lock Haven's Delani Wolever to advance to the semifinals. Bloomsburg's Cassidy Calimer would send Zardet into the backdraw portion of the bracket with a 6-4, 6-1 victory.
The top flight bracket also featured McCluskey, who rallied to advance to the backdraw bracket with a 6-0, 6-2 win against Lock Haven's Hailey Risley.
Zardet won her backdraw matchup against Bloomsburg's Vitoria Nery 6-2, 6-2, while McCluskey won her match against Wolever 6-1, 7-5.
In the No. 2 flight, Stetina won 6-0, 6-2 against Lock Haven's Victoria Bensinger to advance to the semifinals. Bloomsburg's Gianna Bonito defeated Stetina 6-1, 6-2 to advance to the championship, while Stetina moved to the backdraw.
Jackson dropped her opening match but responded with a 6-3, 5-7, (10-3) victory against Lock Haven's Jayna Brodnicki to move onto the backdraw bracket. Stetina fell 6-1, 6-0 in the backdraw finals, while Jackson won 6-4, 6-1 in her match.
The No. 3 flight featured Pittman and Young for ESU as Pittman won her opening match 6-4, 6-3, while Young dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision.
Pittman just missed advancing to the finals of the flight as Bloomsburg's Isabella Sarquis won 6-1, 6-1. Young joined Pittman in the backdraw portion of the bracket after defeating Lock Haven's Kayla Mushala 6-1, 6-4.
Pittman won the backdraw portion of the bracket with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Shippensburg's Cally Papoutis, while Young defeated Mushala 6-1, 6-1.
The Warriors continue their fall schedule next weekend as ESU heads to Drew on Friday for a 3 p.m. match before visiting Scranton on Saturday for an 11 a.m. contest. ESU will participate in the PSAC Individual Championships in Bloomsburg Oct. 5-6.
