KUTZTOWN – For the second straight day, the East Stroudsburg University swimming team split with Kutztown and Cal U on Saturday afternoon at the Keystone Pool.
The Warriors (3-2) picked up victories in four of the 11 events, defeating the Golden Bears by a score of 106-83 and falling to the Vulcans 100-96.
ESU tallied their second PSAC qualifying time of the season as Avery Fohring clocked a time of 2:18.92 in the 200-yd butterfly to take first place by more than 10 seconds.
The Warriors opened the meet by winning the 400-yd medley relay, with Jenna Johnson, Julia Harnish, Sarah Luigard and Emma Billings combining for a time of 4:19.68.
In the 1650-yd freestyle, the Warriors claimed the top two spots as Ellie Pardio took first with a time of 22:09.32 and Harnish was second after finishing in 22:14.42.
Harnish returned to the pool with a victory in the 200-yd breaststroke after clocking a time of 2:42.57.
Luigard picked up a second place finish in the 200-yd individual medley with a time of 2:22.94 and Johnson was the runner-up in the 200-yd backstroke after finishing in 2:21.51.
Avery Fohring took second in the 500-yd freestyle after clocking a time of 5:46.75.
The Warriors are back in the pool on Saturday, Nov. 6 when they battle Millersville at 1 p.m. from the Anttonen Natatorium.
