SHIPPENSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University volleyball team kept it rolling with their fifth straight win and fifth consecutive shutout as they swept Shippensburg, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon inside Heiges Field House. The set scores were 26-24, 25-12, 25-20.
The Warriors complete the season sweep of the Raiders to move to 13-9 overall and 8-2 in the PSAC while Shippensburg fell to 11-14 and 4-6 in league play.
After dropping 15 straight matches from 2010-19 to Shippensburg, the Warriors have now won the last three meetings.

- Sydney Stone notched a team-high 11 kills to go along with nine digs, two aces and one block

How it Happened
- Shippensburg went out in front 10-5 to open the first set before the Warriors decided to take a timeout. After falling behind 15-9, the Warriors subbed in LoPresto, who helped score eight of the next 10 points to even the set at 17-17. The teams traded points until the Warriors grabbed a 23-20 advantage but after a timeout by the Raiders, they went on a quick 4-0 run to regain the lead. ESU fended of a set point to tie the score at 24-24, before using a Bruchhauser kill and an error by Shippensburg to win the first set, 26-24.
- ESU jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the second set which forced the Raiders to call a timeout. Shippensburg cut ESU's advantage to four but after five straight points by the Warriors, they went back ahead, 14-6. The Warriors forced the Raiders into their second timeout with the score at 18-8 and would go on to take the set, 25-12, for a 2-0 lead in the match.
- The Warriors kept their momentum rolling early in the final set as they took a 8-4 advantage before a Raiders' timeout. Shippensburg got back on track out of the break as they would ultimately take a 16-15 lead before the Warriors were forced to call their own timeout. ESU regained their form with three straight points to take a 18-16 advantage. After Shippensburg's second timeout, the Raiders could not slow down the Warriors as they closed out the third set, 25-20, for their fifth straight 3-0 victory.
