EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University women's swimming team participated in a PSAC virtual meet on Saturday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Freshman Jenna Johnson picked up first-place finishes in the 50-yd freestyle (25.70) and 100-yd backstroke (1:03.22). Both times are collegiate best for the native from Brookhaven, Pa.
Sarah Luigard posted times of 5:01.25 in the 400-yd individual medley and 1:04.83 100-yd butterfly.
In a tight race in the 200-yd freestyle, Taylor Howery (2:04.73) edged Madison Tafe (2:04.97).
Tafe (5:41.22) bested teammate Erynn Brady (5:56.93) in the next event in the 500-yd freestyle.
Julia Harnish clocked times of 1:13.05 in the 100-yd backstroke and 2:41.19 in the 200-yd breaststroke.
Brady touched the wall at 12:34.13 in the 1000-yd freestyle in a career-best time.
Emma Billings earned a first-place finish in the 100-yd free style (56.28).
In relays, the crew of Howery, Harnish, Luigard and Samantha Christman won the 200-yd medley relay (1:56.27). In the 400-yd freestyle relay, Howery, Tafe, Christman and Billings posted a time of 3:52.10 to place first.
The Warriors will compete in another PSAC virtual meet on Fri., March 26 at 4:00 p.m.
