LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After totaling eight points in two games last week, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday that East Stroudsburg University lacrosse graduate student Hana Cicerelle was honored as the league's Eastern Division Athlete of the Week.
Cicerelle posted a hat trick against No. 5 West Chester on Tues., March 23 and followed up that performance with four goals and an assist in a 20-4 victory over Shepherd. On the week, the native of Broadway, N.J. also scooped five ground balls and caused five turnovers. She leads ESU and ranks third in the PSAC this season with 16 goals.
In the ESU record books, Cicerelle is now tied for third all-time in career goals (148) with Michelle Mangiaruga (2008-11), tied for second in assists (78) with Antonia Giannopolous (2001-03) and holds sole possession of third place in points with 226.
Tuesday's selection marks the second time in her career that Cicerelle has earned the weekly honor, after previously being named PSAC Player of the Week on March 26, 2019.
