SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Led by third and fourth place finishes from senior
Mandy Fine and freshman
Keely Arndt, the East Stroudsburg women's cross country team earned a second place finish at the Shippensburg Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
As a team, the Warriors posted a score of 34 points and a total team time of 1:47.05.
Fine battled with the pair of Shippensburg runners that went on to earn the top-two spots, as she completed the grass course with a time of 20:49.5 to come in third.
Keely finished just one second behind Fine with a time of 21:49.5 to earn a fourth place finish.
Senior
Brittany Carratura finished in 21:31.3, freshman
Madison Palmer clocked a time of 21:55.7 and junior
Kaylene Raczka ran a time of 21:57.4, as the trio finished 8th, 9th and 10th respectively.
Other Warrior finishers include
Samantha Brawner (14th, 22:14.0),
Emily Furlong 16th, 22:23.1) and
Lauren Reightneour (24th, 23:51.8).
Host Shippensburg won the event with total team time of 1:45.31 and team score of 26.
Shippensburg's Isabelle Gulgert won the event with a time of 20:30.9 and fellow teammate Kyra Gerber was second after finishing in 20:38.7.
ESU is back in action on March 20 as they travel to Lock Haven for the PSAC Championships.
