Men’s Soccer Predicted to Finish Third in PSAC Preseason Poll

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced its annual men's soccer preseason poll on Wednesday. East Stroudsburg University was selected to finish third in the East division.

West Chester was picked to win the East, finishing with four first-place votes. Millersville, the back-to-back PSAC Champions in 2019 and 2018, were picked to finish as runners ups, registering three first-place votes.

After the Warriors, Lock Haven (4th), Bloomsburg (5th), Shippensburg (6) and Shepherd (7) round out the East.

Notable returners for the Warriors from the 2019 squad include All-PSAC Second Team selections Bradley Turocy (7 goals, 3 assists), Oliver Lundberg (3 goals, 9 assists) and goalkeeper Evan Miele (0.98 goals allowed per game).

Out west, Mercyhurst earned four of six first-place votes, while the defending West champion Gannon earned the remaining two first-place votes for second place. Seton Hill is predicted to finish third, while Cal U and Pitt-Johnstown were picked fifth and sixth, respectively.

The Warriors, who are seeking its fourth consecutive winning season, open the 2021 campaign at Felician on Sept. 2.
