How it Happened
11:31| After the Warriors failed to score on a penalty stroke earlier in the first quarter, Lindenwood took advantage of their only penalty corner of the game to take a 1-0 lead. Mia Simpson dished a pass off the set play to Pauline Terwindt who fired a strike into the bottom right corner of the goal past Supey.
42:11 | The Warriors were finally able to get the ball past Lindenwood's Lead Brozovich, who finished the game with 10 saves, when van Gils ripped a shot that was redirected by Lewis in the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
47:43 | ESU wasted no time grabbing the lead in the fourth quarter as Mesenbrink jammed a rebound past Brozovich. The senior was set up after junior Lia Parker delivered a strike that caromed off the goalie's pads right onto the stick of Mesenbrink, who finished her shot to give the Warriors a 2-1 advantage.
56:56 | Just a little over nine minutes later, it was déjà vu for Mesenbrink and Parker as the duo combined to score the exact same goal from earlier in the quarter. Parker connected on a hard-hit shot that bounced off the pads of Brozovich which allowed Mesenbrink to clean up a wide open shot for her second goal of the afternoon.
59:43 | In the closing seconds of the contest, van Gils would not be denied her first career goal as the freshman dribbled around a number of Lions' defenders inside the arc before sneaking a shot just inside the right post to extend the Warriors lead to 4-1.
