BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- The East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team could not prevent a Bloomsburg goal in the 104th minute during the second overtime period, falling to the Huskies, 1-0, on Wednesday night at Steph Pettit Stadium.
ESU falls to 2-3-1 and 1-3-1 in the PSAC East, while Bloomsburg improves to 4-2-1 and 3-1-1 in conference.
A Husky free kick just outside the goal box proved to be the difference, as a deflection would find the back of the net in the 104th minute of action.
Notables
- The meeting was the second between the two squads this season. ESU and BU battled to a 1-1 tie at Eiler-Martin Stadium on Sept. 9.
- Only three goals were scored in nearly 215 minutes of action between the Warriors and Huskies this season.
- In goal, Mauri Jackson made four saves for ESU.
- Bloomsburg held a 16-6 advantage in shots and 5-2 edge in shots on goal.

- 103:11 | On a free kick just outside the goal box to the right, BU's Campbell Power would send a pass to her left over to Natalie Holmes. Holmes, would take a shot in traffic that would deflect off of Helen Flynn and just out of the grasp from the diving Jackson.
