Warriors Top Shippensburg with Strong Second Half

Haley Skove and Mirthe Bos lift the Warriors to victory

EAST STROUDSBURG -- Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team struck for a pair of second half goals to lift the Warriors to a 2-1 win over Shippensburg on Wednesday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The Warriors improve to 3-3-1 and 2-3-1 in the PSAC East, while the Raiders drop to 2-5-1 and 2-3-1 in league play.

After SU's Lauren Ocker opened the scoring in the sixth minute of action, Haley Skove would knot the game at 1-1 off an assist from Rebecca Kotula. The Warriors would find the back of the net with the eventual game winner in the 81st minute, as Mirthe Bos would drill in a shot off of a corner kick.
