Duda Jr., Weise Named to Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization announced on Tuesday afternoon that East Stroudsburg University's David Duda Jr. and Ryan Weise were named to the LVSCBO 2022 Scholar-Athlete Teams.

The Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization is made up of the six schools in the Lehigh Valley including NCAA Division II schools ESU and Kutztown along with NCAA Division III members Cedar Crest, DeSales, Moravian University and Muhlenberg College.

Duda Jr. is coming off a career-best performance against Mansfield on Jan. 5, where he drained 7-of-12 field goal attempts including four triples to score 19 points against the Mounties. He also distributed three assists in his second start of the season. On the season, the Collegeville, Pa. native is averaging 3.4 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest. In the classroom, the sport management major holds a 3.50 grade point average.
 
Duda Jr. is joined on the LVSCBO Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team by Nate Henty Brown of Muhlenberg, Dat Lambert of DeSales and Kyree Generett of Kutztown.

Graduate student Ryan Weise joined the ESU women's basketball team prior to this year after spending two seasons at Division I LIU Brooklyn, where she was named to the NEC Winter Academic Honor Roll. Weise boasted a 4.0 GPA while pursuing her master's in Management & Leadership and is averaging 9.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists for the Warriors this season. The Allentown, N.J. native currently ranks third in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference for 3-pt field goal percentage, shooting the long all at 40.7 percent.

Joining Weise on the LVSCBO Scholar-Athlete Women's Team are Morgan Amy of Moravian, Tori Dowd of Muhlenberg, Averi Jordan of DeSales, Ashley Wilson of Cedar Crest and Annie Whalen of Kutztown.



The next Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, February 15 at 11:30 a.m., where the LVSCBO 2022 Team and the Pete Nevins Player of the Year awards will be announced. The hosting of the luncheon will be dependent on current COVID-19 protocols and surge at the time with January's scheduled Scholar-Athlete Luncheon being canceled.
