Women's Basketball Names Three to All-PSAC

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced Friday afternoon that the East Stroudsburg University women's basketball team earned three all-conference honors. 

The reigning Freshman of the Year, Brie Droege, was named to the All-PSAC First Team. The sophomore started all 29 games for the Warriors, recorded 458 points, 155 rebounds, 47 assists, 46 steals, averaging 15.9 points per game. Brie scored double figures in 26 games, above 20 points in seven games, and led the team in scoring on 15 occasions.  

The Columbia, Pa. native also ranked second on the team in rebounds per game with 5.3, while she recorded three double-doubles. She also contributed 46 steals and 47 assists in 950 minutes played.  

Brie also led the team in free throw percentage, converting 70 of her 80 attempts. She ranks sixth in the conference in free throw percentage (87.5) and 11th in field goal percentage (44.7).

In the single-season program record book, Brie ranks 16th in scoring with 458 points, 11th in field goals made with 182, leads the free throw percentage category (87.5), and is tied for ninth in minutes played with 950.

In the career record book, Brie ranks second in points through her sophomore season with 768, 16th in scoring average (13.5), ninth in field goal percentage (45.6), first in free throw percentage (86.1), and tied for third in three-point percentage (36.7).

She recorded a career-high 29 points on Feb. 18 against Lock Haven, making 12 field goals, and a career-high 12 rebounds on Jan. 29 against West Chester.

Sophomore Brooke Droege was named to the All-PSAC Second Team.  Brooke made starts in 18 of the 20 games she appeared in, totaling 230 points, 93 rebounds, 47 assists, 40 steals, averaging 11.5 points per game. She recorded 13 games in double-figures and scored 15 or more points in six games.  

The Columbia, Pa. native led the Warriors in scoring five times, six times in rebounds, and six times in steals. She ranks third on the team in points per game with 11.5 and third in rebounds per game with 4.7.  

Brooke ranks seventh in the conference in free throw percentage, making 38 of 44 attempts.  

She recorded a career-high 21 points at Slippery Rock on Jan. 3 and a career-high five assists on Dec. 16 at Clarion. 

On Nov. 18, Brooke was named the PSAC East Defensive Player of Week after she combined for eight steals, three blocks, 15 rebounds, 35 points, and averaged 37 minutes through two games.

Senior Avery White was named to the All-PSAC Second Team. The Pottstown, Pa. native started all 29 games, recorded 339 points, 95 rebounds, 87 assists, 35 steals, 52-made three-pointers, averaging 11.7 points per game.  

She recorded double figures in 17 games, scored above 15 points on 10 occasions, and posted a stretch of seven games with 15+ points. White led the team in scoring seven times and 10 times in assists. She recorded a season-high 24 points against Staten Island on Nov.22 that included six-made three-pointers. She contributed a high of eight assists on Feb. 8 at Shepherd and eight rebounds on Dec. 16 at Clarion. 

White is tied for sixth in the single-season record book in made three-pointers, ranks seventh in the PSAC in 3PT per game (1.8), and is 10th in program history in single-season minutes played (946). 

White ranks third on the team with 87 assists and second on the team in points per game (11.7), ranking 15th and 23rd in the league, respectively.
