LOCK HAVEN – For the first time this season, East Stroudsburg University field hockey junior goalkeeper Amy Supey has been named the PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.   

Supey continued her outstanding campaign in net for the third-ranked Warriors, recording a season-high six saves and her second shutout of the year in a 3-0 victory over Bloomsburg. The junior leads the PSAC and all of NCAA DII with a 0.25 goals against average and 0.917 save percentage.

The Lehman, Pa. native garners the Defensive Athlete of the Week award for the third time in her ESU career and is also the third Warrior this season to receive a weekly honor (Olivia Breen – Sept. 6, Madison Kline – Sept. 27).

ESU welcomes No. # Millersville to Whitenight Field on Wednesday at 3 p.m. for a crucial conference matchup.
