CALIFORNIA, Pa. – Highlighted by an East Stroudsburg University Top-10 time and a PSAC qualifying mark in the 200-yd freestyle by Vera Renshof, the ESU swim team opened the California (Pa.) Tri-Meet on Friday evening inside Hamer Hall. 
After the first of two days, the Warriors trail California (Pa.) by a score of 123-79 and Kutztown by a mark of 114-90 after 11 events.
Notables
	- Vera Renshof posted an ESU Top-10 Time and her third PSAC qualifying time of the season in the 200-yd freestyle with a time of 1:58.95 to win the third event. The time is the fastest by a Warrior this season and ranks seventh in program history since 1995.
 
	- Along with winning the 200-yd freestyle, Renshof picked up another win for ESU in the 100-yd freestyle with a time of 54.30. 
 
	- Kennedy Leveto took second place with a time of 1:11.66 in the 100-yd breaststroke. 
 
How It Happened
	- In the opening event, the Warriors earned a second-place mark in the 200-yd medley relay with a time of 2:04.36. Jenna Johnson, Erin Brandeburg, Avery Fohring and Mia Estep led the way. 
 
	- A couple of newcomer Warriors placed third and fourth in the 1000-yd freestyle, with Samantha Grayauskie placing third (11:50.49) and Rachel Heggenstaller following at fourth place (12:09.36).
 
	- In the 50-yd freestyle, Kennedy Leveto paced the Warriors with a third-place finish (26.11). Naihomy Garcia also placed in the top-five with a fifth-place finish (27.07).
 
	- Jenna Johnson led ESU in the 400-yd individual medley with a fifth-place mark of 5:10.13.
 
	- Avery Fohring clocked a time of 1:04.85 in the 100-yd butterfly, grabbing third place. Nina Marchese followed in fifth (1:08.51).
 
	-  In the eighth event, Jenna Johnson led the Warriors with a fourth-place mark of 1:08.51 in the 100-yd backstroke.
 
	- Madison Tafe picked up a top-three finish in the 500-yd freestyle, registering a time of 5:43.13.
 
	- In the final event of day one, the 400-yd freestyle relay, ESU's crew of Naihomy Garcia, Madison Tafe, Kennedy Leveto and Vera Renshof combined for a time of 3:54.26 for third place.
