KUTZTOWN – The top-ranked East Stroudsburg University field hockey team saw it's six-game winning streak come to an end as No. 3 Kutztown defeated the Warriors, 1-0, on Tuesday night at Andre Reed Stadium.
The Warriors suffer their second loss of the season, dropping to 13-2 overall and 5-2 in the conference. Kutztown extends is winning streak to nine games, moving to 15-2 on the season and 7-1 in the PSAC. The Golden Bears also snap their five-game losing streak to the Warriors which dated back to 2019.
Kutztown leads the PSAC at 7-1, followed by Shippensburg (5-1), ESU (5-2), Millersville (5-2) and West Chester (4-3) headed into the final games of the regular season.
For the first time since October 2018, ESU was ranked No. 1 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll, released today by the organization.

- The Warriors had an edge in shots, 6-3, but the Golden Bars the advantage in shots on goal (3-1) and penalty corners (5-4)
- Senior Madison Kline had two shots to lead ESU and sophomore Jady van Gils recorded the only shot on target
- Kutztown's Breann Craley scored the game's lone goal at the 40:12 mark
- Junior goalkeeper Amy Supey finished with two saves and continues to pace the PSAC and NCAA DII with a .39 goals-against average and 0.865 save percentage
- In her 38th season, head coach Sandy Miller remained at 472 career victories today, still needing 15 more to move into third all-time in Division II
- The Warriors move to 21-11 all-time when ranked as the No. 1 team
