LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- After picking up a pair of wins along with a save on its spring break trip, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on Monday afternoon that East Stroudsburg University's Leigh Ann Jenkins was selected as the PSAC East Pitcher of the Week.
In four appearances, Jenkins pitched 12 innings and picked up two wins along with a save. She posted a 0.58 ERA, striking out an impressive 21 batters while walking just two over the spring break trip.
The Folsom, Pa. native struck out 10 batters against AIC on March 10 and limited to a .209 batting average on the week.
Jenkins and the rest of ESU pitching staff ranks 19th nationally in ERA (1.83) and fifth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.73).
The Warriors (13-1) look to match its program-best 11-game winning streak when ESU travels to Holy Family on Tuesday afternoon.
