CSC Academic All-American - Ridgell/Proepper

Ridgell and Proepper Earn Academic All-America Honors

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- East Stroudsburg University softball senior catcher Delaney Ridgell and sophomore infielder Kinsley Proepper were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Teams, announced Tuesday afternoon.  

Ridgell became the first player in program history to earn First Team Academic All-America honors after receiving Third Team recognition last season. Ridgell is one of six student-athletes to repeat on the CSC Academic All-America teams.

Proepper became the fifth Warrior in program history to earn CSC Academic All-America honors after earning Third Team recognition. She joins Ridgell (2025, 2026), Abigail Weirich (2025), Rebecca Smith (2013), and Denise McKeown (1991) on the program's Academic All-America list. 

In the classroom, Ridgell and Proepper each maintained a perfect 4.00 GPA while majoring in political science and exercise science, respectively. 

The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program. Fourteen of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division II softball teams sustain an unblemished 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.91, with the entire Division II team maintaining a collective average GPA of 3.90.
