No. 6 Warriors Sweep PSAC East Weekly Honors

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- After a pair of dominant wins to close the regular season, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on Monday afternoon that Kiki Fitzpatrick and Kayleigh Pokrivka have been named PSAC East Lacrosse Athlete and Defender of the Week, respectively.

Fitzpatrick was named to the All-PSAC East First Team earlier in the day on Monday. She closed her redshirt junior regular season strong, posting seven goals and five assists for 12 points. Defensively, the Sayville, N.Y. native grabbed four ground balls and eight draw controls and caused three turnovers. The weekly honor is her second PSAC weekly honor of the season.

Pokrivka, who became ESU's first-ever PSAC East Defender of the Year earlier on Monday, has now earned PSAC East Athlete of the Year four times in 2022. She combined for six caused turnovers against Shippensburg and Bloomsburg and scooped five ground balls.  

The sixth-ranked Warriors remained at the six slot in the latest IWLCA Coaches Poll for the third consecutive week.

ESU, the top seed in the PSAC East Division will find out its opponent for the PSAC Semifinals on Tuesday evening. The Warriors will play the winner of PSAC West two-seed Mercyhurst and three-seed IUP on Fri., May 6 at 4:00 p.m. inside Seton Hill's Dick's Sporting Good Stadium. The winner will head to the PSAC Championship on Sunday at Noon.
