How we got here: ESU (8-8 PSAC East) snagged the fifth and final seed in the PSAC East after holding a tiebreaker with Millersville. After splitting the season series with Millersville, the Warriors earned the next tiebreaker by splitting with top-seed Kutztown, while the Marauders were swept by the Golden Bears.
Pitching: The Warriors pitching has been its biggest strength in 2022, with its 1.88 team ERA ranking second in the league entering the postseason. Led by freshman Katie Zaun’s 1.53 ERA and PSAC leading 150 strikeouts, ESU looks to continue to dominate this postseason.
Up Next: With a win, ESU would advance in the winners’ bracket and play Kutztown in Game 5. A loss would send the Warriors to the loser’s bracket, and ESU would play the loser of Cal U and either Shepherd or IUP in an elimination game, depending on the results of Game 2 and Game 6.
