DARTMOUTH, Mass.– Racing for the first time in two weeks, the East Stroudsburg University men's cross country squad earned an 11th place finish out of 36 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.

Competing in the 8k event at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course, the Warriors were led by sophomore Brian McGarrity in 60th with a time of 26:22.49, and just on his heals was graduate student Luke Valdevit in 61st after finishing in 26:22.60.

A pair of freshmen were not far behind as Landon Boyle took 64th place after crossing the line in 26:28.71 and Emmanuel Gitonga grabbed a 66th place finish with a time of 26:36.40.

Rounding out the finishes for the Warriors was senior Camden Shaffer in 113th (27:13.39), freshman Caleb Peters making his ESU debut coming in 200th (29:05.83) and freshman Andrew Dowdell in 224th (29:54.13).
