BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Facing No. 5 West Chester, the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team registered the opening goal, but the undefeated Golden Rams responded with four unanswered goals to hand the Warriors a 4-1 loss on Saturday evening inside Eiler-Martin Stadium.
The Warriors (5-2-2, 3-2-2 PSAC East) look to get back to their winning ways against Bloomsburg on Wednesday. The nationally-ranked Golden Rams (8-0, 7-0 PSAC East) remain undefeated through eight contests this season.
ESU leading goal scorer Rebecca Kotula rocketed her sixth goal of the season. She now leads the conference with 16 points on six goals and four assists in nine games this season.

How it Happened
- 15' | It didn't take long at all for Kotula to make an impact, rocketing a goal from 25 yards out. She fired a shot after a WCU defender attempted to clear possession. Kotula received possession and sent the shot to the lower right corner of the net.
- 21' | WCU evened the contest when Nicolette Harrison fired a crossing pass from Jacqueline Hug.
- 44' | Less than two minutes until halftime, Victoria Pungello found Hug on a similar cross, as WCU grabbed the lead.
- 56' | Kaitlynn Haughey fired a long shot 30 yards out, which descended just below the crossbar and into the net.
- 72' | Emily Deluisi rocketed a similar shot to Haughey's, lasering a far shot just below the crossbar.
