How it Happened vs. Bloomsburg
  • With the Warriors ahead 3-2 out of the gate, Bloomsburg responded by scoring seven of the next 10 points to grab a 9-6 advantage. ESU answered back quickly with a 4-0 run to go in front 10-9, before the teams proceeded to trade the next several points with the Huskies knotting it up at 18-18. After a Warriors' timeout, they looked to be in control as a 6-2 spurt put them ahead 24-20, but not before Bloomsburg fought their way back to make the finals set score 25-23 which gave ESU a 1-0 advantage in the match.

  • Bloomsburg came out swinging in the second set, recording three straight kills before the Warriors rattled off a 7-0 run to grab a 7-3 edge. The Huskies would stay in striking distance, trailing by no more than three points on several occasions (9-6, 10-7, 11-8, 12-9, 13-10), but not until the Warriors stretched their lead to 15-10. With ESU still up by five, Bloomsburg put together a 4-0 run to pull within one point at 18-17. Not even a Warriors' timeout out could slow down the Huskies, who rallied all the way back go in front 21-20. However, ESU settled back in, scoring five of the final seven points to earn a 25-23 set two win and 2-0 lead over Bloomsburg.

  • It was back and forth to begin the third set until the Warriors scored five of seven points over a stretch to go up 12-8. Just like in the previous frames, the Huskies answered right back with a 4-0 run to even the score at 12-12, but ESU quickly answered with five straight points to regain a 17-12 lead. The teams would swap the remaining points of the frame, as the Warriors held on 25-18, for a 3-0 sweep of Bloomsburg.
