LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After helping guide the East Stroudsburg University football team to its first win over West Chester since 2012, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced on Monday afternoon that ESU safety TJ Harris and ESU returner Justin Cook were honored as PSAC East Athletes of the Week.

Harris was named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week, while Cook was tabbed the Special Teams Athlete of the Week.

Harris became the first Warrior since 2019 to record two interceptions in a single game, picking off WCU's Cooper Jordan twice. He also recorded four tackles. He was a major contributor to the Warrior defensive charge that allowed just 121 passing yards and 56 rushing yards for a combined output of 177 yards. It's second honor this season for Harris, who earned the honor on after returning a 35-yd interception for a touchdown. On the season, Harris leads ESU with three interceptions, totaling 28 tackles and a pass breakup.

Cook brought momentum with 67 kickoff return yards, including a 42-yd return against the Golden Rams. He has been a factor all season in the return game, ranking 12th in the nation and third in the PSAC with an average kickoff return of 28.2 yards. The sophomore from Harrisburg also recorded three catches for 32 yards. The weekly honor is the second of his career, first earning the honor last season after a program-record kickoff return touchdown of 100 yards against Bloomsburg.

Harris, Cook and the rest of the Warriors prepare to face Bloomsburg on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
