BLOOMSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University women's cross country team wrapped up its regular season slate with an eighth place finish at the Bloomsburg Invitational on a rain soaked Saturday morning at the BU Cross Country Course.

Running in the 6K race, ESU was led by Holly Chambers for the first time this season as the graduate student took 43rd out of 108 runners after crossing the line in 25:53.4, while freshman Carla Bautista was not far behind in 45th with a time of 25:58.3.

Next for the Warriors was freshman Payton Falkenstein (26:31.9) in 56th, while sophomore Megan Elgrim followed right behind in 57th with a time of 26:32.4. Kiera Wimbush (26:34.7) and Gabriela Orama (26:35.0) took 60th and 61st place respectively.

Capping off the finishes for the Warriors was freshman Mia Sisilli (64th – 26.41.4), junior Alycia Smith (76th – 27.28.1), first-year student Abby Kolb (83rd – 28:17.4) and junior Jada Williams (92nd – 29:22.5).

ESU returns to Bloomsburg in two weeks for the PSAC Championships on Saturday, October 21. The 6K race is tentatively scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
