EAST STROUDSBURG – For the first time since 2006, the East Stroudsburg University volleyball team swept the season series from West Chester as the Warriors knocked off the Golden Rams (25-13, 25-16, 25-19) on Saturday evening inside Koehler Fieldhouse.
Pushing their win streak to 17, the Warriors improved to 20-5 on the season and 12-0 in the PSAC East while the Golden Rams dropped to 11-14 overall and 3-9 in the conference.
During the 17-match win streak, ESU has defeated 14 opponents in straight sets including the last nine the Warriors have battled. ESU has only dropped five sets since the streak began on September 16.

Notables vs. West Chester
- Sophomore Anna Coulter led the match with 10 kills to go along with six digs and two assists, while LoPresto finished shy of a double-double with eight kills and nine digs
- Taylor Haan continued to do it all for the Warriors as the junior finished with six kills, 28 assists, six digs, two aces and a block
- Graduate student Claire Choloux and Stone each had six kills as the duo combined for 18 digs and two assists
- Seniors Perry and Bruchhauser combined for five kills on seven attacks
- Baca was tied for the match-high in digs with 21 and continued her pursuit of 1,000 for her ESU career with 878 and counting. Junior Makalea McComas added 12 digs and pair of aces.
- West Chester's Abiah Lane paced the Golden Rams with six kills while Syndey Heffner (21) and Brynn Dreisbach (13) each had double digit digs
- The Warriors finished with a .200 hitting percentage, five aces and five blocks compared three blocks, a pair of aces and a .023 clip for WCU
How it Happened vs. West Chester
- It was all ESU to begin the match as the Warriors opened up a 10-2 advantage before WCU called out a timeout. Out the break, ESU proceeded to score 14 of the next 19 points which pushed their lead to 24-7. After a 6-0 run from the Golden Rams, the Warriors closed out the set 25-13 for a 1-0.
- After West Chester scored the first point of the second set, ESU went on a 9-4 run to pull ahead (9-5). The Golden Rams were able to trim the deficit to two points at 12-10 and 14-12, but a quick 3-0 spurt by ESU extended the lead back to 17-12. Out of a timeout, West Chester drew within four points at 17-13 until ESU ended the frame on an 8-3 run (25-16) to take a commanding 2-0 lead.
- The teams went back and forth to start the final set as the Golden Rams held a slim advantage at 10-9, but not before ESU produced a 10-0 run with the help of six kills to secure a 19-10 lead. The Warriors ultimately wrapped up the set, 25-19, and the match, 3-0.

The Warriors conclude the regular season with a pair of matches next week beginning with a crucial PSAC East contest at Shippensburg on Friday. ESU has a chance to clinch the No. 1 seed with a win as first serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Heiges Field House.
