Six Warriors Land on All-PSAC East Women’s Soccer Teams

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women’s soccer team placed six on the All-PSAC East all-conference teams, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Rebecca Kotula was selected to the All-PSAC East First Team for the second consecutive season, while Natalie Schooley, Brienn Seaman, Millie Smith, Caitlin Norwood and Nia Chinapoo all garnered All-PSAC East Second Team honors. 

Kotula earns All-PSAC East Second Team honors for the second consecutive season, becoming the 11th Warrior to earn first-team representation in multiple seasons. The Wyomissing native recorded four goals and an assist for nine points. Her goals came when it mattered, with three of her four goals being game-winners. In her career, she has started in all 55 games she has appeared in, recording 17 goals and seven assists for 41 points. The midfielder helped ESU rank sixth in the PSAC in scoring and fifth in goal-against average. 

Schooley earns her first All-PSAC East honor after a stellar offensive season. After recording nine points in each of her first two seasons, the junior exploded for 21 points on nine goals and three assists. Her nine goals led ESU tied for the seventh most in the conference and ranked ninth in points. She tallied at least an assist in 10 games this season, recording multiple points in eight contests. Against Mansfield on Oct. 4, she recorded a pair of goals in a 2-0 win over the Mounties. Over her three seasons as a Warrior, the Cherry Hill, N.J. native has recorded 16 goals and seven assists for 39 career points.   

Seaman garners All-PSAC East honors for the second consecutive season after landing on the first team in 2022. She started in 18 games at back for the Warriors, helping ESU to the fifth-best goals-against average in the league. She was a major factor in ESU allowing just 14 goals in 18 games, as the Warriors allowed zero goals or a single goal in 13 of 18 games this season. During her four-year career, Seaman has made 67 starts in 75 contests, totaling three goals and an assist for seven points. She has played 6,276 minutes in the Red and Black.

Smith earned her first All-PSAC East honor in 2023 after posting five goals and two assists for 12 points during her junior season. The Middletown, Md. native ranked second on ESU in both goals and points, helping ESU to the sixth-best scoring offense in the PSAC. She totaled at least one point in seven contests, including a game-winning goal against Shepherd on Sept. 16 to cap a 3-2 comeback win over the Rams. Over the past three seasons, Smith has appeared in 56 games, making 29 starts. To date, she has registered 10 goals and six assists for 26 points. 

Norwood started in all 19 games at back for the Warriors, serving as another key defender for ESU. She helped ESU concede just 16 goals in 19 games. She found the back of the net against West Chester for the second time in her career on Oct. 7. The junior has made 50 starts in 53 appearances, totaling two goals and an assist at defender. Along with Seaman, she was a factor in ESU having the fifth-best defense in the league.

Chinapoo was one of just two true freshmen in the PSAC East to earn All-PSAC East honors, joining Kutztown’s Kate Ecomomopoulos. The Harrisburg native made 12 starts in 16 total appearances, posting three goals. She found the back of the net twice against Millersville in separate games, along with a score against Lock Haven on Oct. 25. In games Chinapoo appeared in, the Central Dauphin graduate helped ESU outscore the opposition by a mark of 29-12.
