EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University graduate student Elina Joronen was selected as the PSAC East Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Joronen garners the honor after going 2-2 across singles and doubles during conference matches last week against Millersville and West Chester. The Espoo, Finland native earned 6-3, 7-5 and 6-4, 6-4 victories at No. 1 singles over the Marauders and Golden Rams.

This is the first time since April 17, 2018, that a Warrior received the PSAC East's weekly tennis honors.

ESU welcomes Kutztown on Wednesday for a PSAC East matchup at 3 p.m. from Wolbers Courts.
