LOCK HAVEN, Pa., -- After leading the East Stroudsburg University in tackles and recording his first interception and touchdown, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on Monday afternoon that Warrior safety TJ Harris was named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Harris led the Warriors with eight tackles, registered a tackle for loss and returned his first career interception 35-yards in ESU's dominant 55-21 win over Seton Hill.

After ESU lengthened its lead to 49-14 following a 7-yd reception from Tyriq Lewis, Harris picked off SHU's Hayden Teska on the first play of the drive and went unscathed into the end zone.

The defensive athlete of the week honor is the second consecutive for the Warriors, with Deshawn McCarthy earning the accolade on Sept. 11.

Harris and ESU head to Lock Haven next week, in pursuit of starting the season 4-0. Game time in Central Pa. is set for 1:00 p.m.
