Rebecca Kotula headed in for the lone goal in a 1-0 win for the Warriors over Lock Haven on Wednesday evening inside Hubert Jack Stadium.
With the win, the Warriors (6-1-1, 4-1-1 PSAC East) move past West Chester for sole possession of second place in the PSAC East with 13 points. The Bald Eagles (1-5, 1-6 PSAC East) fall for the second consecutive contest.
Notables
- The goal for Kotula is her third of the campaign and 16th of her career. The native of Wyomissing now has 38 career points in 45 games. Her three goals are tied for second on the Warriors and her six points rank third through eight contests. All three of her scores have been game-winning goals.
- Schooley's assist is her third of the season, who leads the Warriors with 11 points on the season. She is currently tied for seventh in the PSAC in points and is tied for eighth in points per game in the league.
- GK Emmy Clarkson posted another clean sheet during her sixth win in eight games this season. The shutout is her fifth in eight games this season, allowing just four goals in 720 minutes this season. The reigning PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week now has 10 career shutouts in 27 games to start her career. She continues to lead the conference in goals-against average (.50) and shutouts per game (.625), while ranking third in save percentage (.857).
- Clarkson's counterpart, LHU GK Megan Miller made seven saves, while allowing the one goal.
- The Warriors led in shots (18-3), shots on goal (8-1) and corners (4-2). The lone yellow card of the contest was issued to ESU during the 85th minute.
- Schooley led ESU with four shots, while Kotula and Maddie Root each posted three. Freshman Nia Chinapoo also tallied multiple shots with a pair.
