BETHLEHEM – Highlighted by a fifth place finish from freshman Bri Hennett, the East Stroudsburg University women's cross country squad took eighth in the team standings at Lehigh's 49th Paul Short Run on Saturday afternoon at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
Running in the White 6K race the Warriors were paced one again by Hennett as the Northumberland native took fifth out of 364 competitors after crossing the line in 22:37.8.
Freshman student Carla Bautista was the Warriors' next best finish in 55th with a time of 24:11.5 and graduate student Holly Chambers took 69th at 24:28.0.
Finishing off the scoring for ESU was freshman Mia Sisilli (24:35.7) in 99th and just behind was fellow classmate Gabriela Orama in 100th with a time of 25:02.0.
Rounding out the finishes for ESU was sophomore Megan Elgrim (109th – 25:02.0), first-year student Kiera Wimbush (150th – 25:33.2), junior Alycia Smith (278th - 27:26.5) and freshman Abby Kolb (303rd – 28:04.4).

The Warriors now have only one more event before this year's PSAC Championships on October 21. ESU makes their way to the Bloomsburg Invitational on Saturday, October 7 at 11 a.m.
