WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Faith Matter scored twice to lead West Chester to a 2-0 win over the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon at Rockwell Field.
The Warriors (5-3-3, 3-3-3 PSAC East) will look to bounce back on Wednesday against Bloomsburg. With the win, the Golden Rams (7-3, 6-3 PSAC East) move into a tie for second place with Kutztown.
Notables
- Matter tallied her fifth goal of the season in the 24th minute and added her sixth goal in the 68th minute to seal the win.
- Natalie Schooley, Abby James, and Sydney Hornberger each recorded a shot on goal for ESU.
- Both ESU goalkeeper Emmy Clarkson and WCU's Grace Keen made three saves.

- 24': Matter stole possession from a Warrior defender near midfield and fired a shot past an oncoming Clarkson for the first goal of the game.
