LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced Wednesday morning that three East Stroudsburg University women's soccer players earned All-PSAC East Second Team honors.
The Warriors' three All-Conference Second Team selections included junior midfielder Jade Wiley, senior defender Maddie Lamb, and freshman forward Kali O'Connell.
Wiley earned her second All-PSAC East Second Team honor after receiving her first selection last season. Wiley was one of six Warriors to start all 17 games this season, recording one goal and two assists. She ranked third on the team with 18 shots on goal. Her lone goal of the season came in the season opener against Millersville, while both of her assists came against Mansfield. Wiley's efforts in the midfield helped limit opponents to one goal or less in 13 of the Warriors' 17 games this season.
Lamb earned her first All-PSAC East Second Team honor. Lamb started all 12 games in which she appeared, recording one assist and four shots on goal while anchoring a defense that posted three shutouts. Her lone assist came on Sept. 19 at Shippensburg. With Lamb on the field, the Warriors allowed two or more goals in just two of her 12 appearances.
In her first season as a forward for the Warriors, O'Connell earned All-PSAC East Second Team honors. O'Connell started all 17 games this season, leading ESU with six goals and adding one assist for a team-high 13 points. She led the Warriors offensively with 50 total shots, while placing 20 shots on goal. O'Connell earned PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors on Sept. 28 after totaling two goals and one assist, including a game-tying goal against Millersville.
