LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University swimming team remained perfect on the season, sweeping all 13 events in a commanding 183-58 victory over Lock Haven on Saturday afternoon at Zimmerli Pool.
The Warriors (2-0) extended their dual meet winning streak, while the Bald Eagles (0-1) dropped their season opener.
Notables
- Avery Fohring earned her first PSAC qualifying mark of the season, winning the 200-yard butterfly in 2:20.35.
- Kennedy Leveto secured her third PSAC qualifying time this season, finishing first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:33.01.
- Ten Warriors secured top finishes in individual events, including five freshmen. Mackenzie Spence led the way with two first-place finishes in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke.
How It Happened
- 200 Medley Relay: The Warriors started strong with the A-team of Spence, Tamara Engler, Ava Palochik, and Branna Wasem posting a time of 1:57.25, finishing five seconds ahead of Lock Haven's top relay.
- 200 Free: Sophia Fishman claimed first place in the opening individual event, adding nine points with a time of 2:06.01.
- 100 Back: Spence earned her first individual win, clocking 1:05.08. Sam Grayauskie followed in second with a time of 1:09.47.
- 100 Breast: Engler topped the event in 1:09.31, with Vera Renshof taking third (1:13.23).
- 200 Fly: Fohring earned her PSAC-qualifying time of 2:20.35 to claim first place.
- 50 Free: ESU swept the top three spots, with Wasem (25.99), Anique Hazebroek (26.03), and Leveto (26.18) adding 16 points to the team's total.
- 100 Free: Hazebroek led the field with a time of 56.19, followed by Emily Gambler in second at 59.16.
- 200 Back: Spence notched her second individual win in 2:20.89, with Palochik (2:27.56) and Kara Vachout (2:29.43) completing a top-three sweep for the Warriors.
- 200 Breast: Leveto earned the PSAC qualifying mark with her winning time of 2:33.01. Engler followed in second with a time of 2:40.29.
- 500 Free: Helia Wang claimed the top spot with a time of 5:34.74, just ahead of Fishman (5:35.62).
- 100 Fly: Gambler edged out Hazebroek for first place, clocking 1:03.49 to Hazebroek's 1:03.52.
- 200 IM: In the final individual event, Anna Stauffer led the field in 2:24.53, narrowly beating Fohring (2:24.61) for first.
- 200 Freestyle Relay: ESU's A-team of Leveto, Wasem, Stauffer, and Renshof clocked 1:42.71 to take first. The B-team of Palochik, Fohring, Nina Marchese, and Fishman followed closely in 1:49.34, edging out Lock Haven's top relay team.

The Warriors will travel to Kutztown on Saturday, Oct. 26, for the Kutztown Tri-Meet. Along with the Golden Bears, ESU will compete against Montclair State. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
