LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After a career-best performance in the East Stroudsburg University football team's 45-31 Homecoming victory over West Chester, tailback Tahir Mills was named the PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Mills averaged an impressive 10 yards per carry, rushing for a career-high 140 yards on 14 carries. The Ridley native found the end zone twice, scoring on explosive runs of 32 and 37 yards. It marked his second 100-yard game of the season and the third of his career.

Behind Mills' standout performance, the Warriors piled up 273 rushing yards on 37 attempts, with fellow tailback Tyriq Lewis also surpassing the 100-yard mark. Lewis carried the ball 12 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns, as ESU's ground game overwhelmed the Golden Rams.

This was the first time since 2014 that two Warriors recorded multiple rushing touchdowns in the same game (Robert Healy and Derrick Dyer vs. Seton Hill) and the first time since 2013 that two Warriors rushed for over 100 yards in the same contest (Healy with 189 yards and Matt Soltes with 117 at Shippensburg). Mills and Lewis now rank third and fourth in the PSAC in rushing yards per game, anchoring the PSAC's top rushing offense, which averages 217.4 yards per game. ESU's rushing attack also ranks 13th nationally among 159 NCAA Division II teams.

Mills' award is the first of his career and the fourth weekly honor for ESU this season. Tyriq Lewis earned the PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week earlier this season, while Everette Dingle (Defensive) and Justin Cook (Special Teams) also received weekly recognition from the conference.

Mills and the Warriors aim to extend their winning streak to four games when they host Lock Haven on Saturday at 12:05 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
