KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University swimming team returned to action on Saturday, defeating Kutztown 171.5-89.5, but falling to Montclair State 132-129 at Keystone Natatorium.
The Warriors are now 3-1 on the season. The Golden Bears drop to 0-3, while the Red Hawks improve to 4-0.
Notables
- Anna Stauffer posted a PSAC qualifying time in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing first with a time of 1:59.85.
- Tamara Engler earned another PSAC championship qualifying time in the 200-yard breaststroke, placing second with a time of 2:34.11.
- Helia Wang recorded her first PSAC qualifying mark of the season in the 400-yard individual medley, taking fourth with a time of 4:56.66.
- Avery Fohring qualified for the conference championships with a time of 1:00.95 in the 100-yard butterfly, the 10th-fastest time by a Warrior since 1995.
- Anique Hazebroek posted two individual victories, winning both the 1000- and 500-yard freestyle events.
- Tamara Engler (100-yard breaststroke) and Vera Renshof (100-yard freestyle) also claimed first-place finishes.
- ESU's 200-yard medley relay team of Brianna Wasem, Kenney Leveto, Stauffer, and Renshof closed the meet with a victory.

200 Medley Relay:
ESU opened the meet with second- and fourth-place finishes. The team of Ava Palochik, Leveto, Fohring, and Renshof combined for a runner-up time of 1:52.68.
1000 Free:
Hazebroek earned her first win of the day in the 1000-yard freestyle, clocking a season-best time of 10:52.84.
200 Free:
Stauffer touched the wall first in 1:59.85, earning a conference qualifying mark in her third event this season. Sophia Fishman followed in fourth with a time of 2:06.31.
100 Back:
Palochik placed fourth (1:03.51), while Mackenzie Spence finished sixth (1:05.00).
100 Breast:
Engler captured first with a time of 1:09.17. Leveto placed fourth in 1:10.40.
200 Fly:
Fohring improved her season-best time, finishing second in 2:17.25.
50 Free:
Renshof earned a runner-up finish, with Wasem tying for third with a time of 25.35.
100 Free:
Renshof secured first place with a time of 53.95. Wasem (55.94) and Stauffer (56.10) followed in fourth and sixth place, respectively.
200 Back:
Spence led the Warriors with a third-place finish in 2:17.23. Palochik placed fifth with a time of 2:18.91.
200 Breast:
Engler earned a runner-up finish with a PSAC qualifying time of 2:34.11. Leveto followed closely in third at 2:34.30.
500 Free:
Hazebroek claimed her second individual victory with a time of 5:17.33, her best of the season. Fishman (5:41.40) and Samantha Grayauskie (5:46.32) placed fourth and sixth, respectively.
100 Fly:
Fohring finished first, earning a PSAC qualifying mark and recording one of the 10 fastest times in program history.
400 IM:
Wang placed fourth with a time of 4:56.66, securing her first PSAC qualifying mark of the season. Fohring finished sixth with a time of 5:02.18.
200 Free Relay:
The Warriors closed the meet with a victory, as the team of Wasem, Leveto, Stauffer, and Renshof posted a time of 1:39.87 to win the event.
