LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – East Stroudsburg University women's soccer senior Natalie Schooley netted three goals to lift the Warriors to a 3-0 win over Lock Haven on Wednesday evening at Hubert Jack Stadium.
The Warriors improved to 6-3-6 overall and 4-3-6 in the PSAC East standings. Lock Haven dropped to 2-10-3, 2-10-1 with the loss.
Notables
- Schooley became the first Warrior since Melissa Herrera in 2019 to record a hat trick; Herrera achieved the feat against Kutztown. Schooley is now the 15th Warrior to score at least three goals in a single game, marking the program's 27th overall hat trick since its inception in 1992.
- The Cherry Hill, N.J., native has scored four goals in her last two games, following a penalty kick to force a tie with Millersville last Saturday. She now leads the team with five goals and 11 points this season.
- Schooley has totaled 21 goals and eight assists for 50 points in her 71-game career, tying her for 11th all-time in career goals at ESU with teammates Rebecca Kotula and Monica Wood (2017-19).
- Maddie Lamb and Nia Chinapoo assisted Schooley's first two goals.
- The Warriors dominated the game, outshooting Lock Haven 24-2 overall and 14-1 in shots on goal. ESU had two corner kick opportunities, while Lock Haven was limited to one.
- Goalkeeper Emmy Clarkson posted her eighth shutout of the season, making one save. Her eight shutouts tie her for the seventh most in a single season in program history, and she now has 22 career shutouts, ranking fourth all-time at ESU.
- Lock Haven goalkeeper Megan Miller made 11 saves in the loss.

Standings Update
- With the win, ESU at least temporarily moves ahead of Shippensburg for sixth place in the PSAC East standings with 18 points, just one point behind Millersville for fifth place. The PSAC Tournament will include the top four teams from both the PSAC East and West Divisions.
- ESU was also among nine teams listed in the initial NCAA Division II Atlantic Region rankings. The Atlantic Region will receive seven bids for the NCAA Tournament, with two automatic qualifiers for conference champions from the PSAC and Mountain East Conference.
