Schooley Tallies Late Goal to Secure Point in Standings against Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Trailing 1-0 with less than 10 minutes remaining, Natalie Schooley headed in a pass from Abby James to secure a 1-1 tie with Shippensburg on Saturday afternoon at David See Field.

The Warriors (4-2-3, 2-2-3 PSAC East) salvaged a point with the draw and remain a point ahead of the Raiders (2-5-2, 2-3-2 PSAC East) in the conference standings.

Notables

  • Schooley's goal is her first of the season. The senior from Cherry Hill, N.J., now has 16 goals and eight assists, totaling 40 career points in 64 contests.

  • James recorded her second assist of the season on the goal, bringing her season total to two. She ranks second on the squad with four points.

  • Goalkeeper Emmy Clarkson made five saves, while Shippensburg's Kristin Brown also tallied five saves.

  • ESU led 13-10 in shots, with both teams posting six shots on target. Shippensburg held an 8-6 advantage in corner kicks.
