INDIANA, Pa. – The No. 2 East Stroudsburg University field hockey team won an overtime thriller Friday night at IUP, 2-1. A team who recently upset No. 1 Shippensburg.
The Warriors (15-3, 7-2) came out quickly, scoring at the 3:26 mark to take an early 1-0 lead. The Crimson Hawks (6-10, 3-6) responded late in the first period with a goal with 74 seconds remaining, knotting the score at 1-1. The next goal didn't come until the first overtime when ESU scored with 48 seconds left.

- Minke Klijn scored her 12th goal of the season off a pass from Kerry Kaufman.
- Emma Friend provided the game-winner for the Warriors. Friend was assisted by Allyson Forman.

With the win, ESU is the No. 2 seed in the PSAC tournament. The Warriors will play the winner of the quarterfinal match between Kutztown and Mansfield at Shippensburg on Nov. 9.
