SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University field hockey team will seek a third consecutive PSAC Championship on Sunday after defeating Kutztown, 2-0, on Friday afternoon at Robb Sports Complex.
The Warriors (16-3) avenge one of its three losses on the season and will look to hoist their fifth PSAC Championship trophy later this weekend. The Golden Bears (14-5) await their NCAA Tournament fate during the NCAA Selection Show on Monday.

- ESU broke the scoreless tie in the second quarter, with Roos Bijman depositing a pass from Jady van Gils in the 25th minute of action. van Gils now has 29 career assists, which is ranks third all-time at ESU. She needs four to break Wendy Newcomb's (1986-90) record 32 among Warriors all-time.
- Rylie McGrath provided insurance in the third quarter, depositing her first goal of the season on a pass from Julia Cooper.
- The tandem of Jet Vermeulen and Sydney Pope combined for their seventh shutout of the season. Vermeulen improves her record to 10-2 on the season. She made three saves in the first 30 minutes, while Pope added a save in the final half of play.
- Kutztown GK Mia Kepler made a save in the loss.
- ESU led 12-7 on shots, with both squads posting four on target.
