EAST STROUDSBURG – Highlighted by school records in the 1650-yard freestyle and the 400-yard freestyle relay, along with another NCAA 'B' cut time, the East Stroudsburg University swimming team closed out the Franklin & Marshall Invite in ninth place on Sunday.
The Warriors delivered historically strong performances throughout the three-day meet, totaling two NCAA 'B' cut times by Vera Renshof, two school records by Anique Hazebroek, another record in the 400 freestyle relay, and 15 top-10 program times. ESU now has 13 Warriors who have recorded PSAC qualifying marks for the 2024-25 season.

Vera Renshof placed fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (52.21), securing her second NCAA 'B' cut time of the meet during prelims with a 51.84. Anna Stauffer followed in 12th (53.91), while Brianna Wasem finished 16th (54.21). Both Stauffer and Wasem set ESU top-10 times in the event.

Kennedy Leveto recorded her collegiate-best time in the 200-yard breaststroke prelims (2:27.97) and earned 15th place in the finals with a time of 2:27.91.

Avery Fohring took 18th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:13.90), narrowly missing her fourth-best time in program history.

Anique Hazebroek broke her own school record in the 1650-yard freestyle, taking second place with a time of 17:33.54. She improved her previous mark by over six seconds. Helia Wang finished 24th (18:42.38), posting the fifth-best time in program history, improving by nearly 15 seconds. Sam Grayauskie (30th, 19:01.00) and Alyssa Brown (31st, 19:01.76) also registered top-10 program times and achieved PSAC qualifying marks.

The Warriors capped the meet with a record-breaking performance in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of Wasem, Stauffer, Hazebroek, and Renshof finished third with a time of 3:32.31, surpassing the previous school record set in the 2017-18 season (3:33.67).
