Game Notes:
How We Got Here:
The No. 2-seeded Warriors come in with a 15-3 overall record and a 7-2 mark in PSAC play, finishing one game ahead of No. 3-seeded Kutztown, who finished the season 14-4 overall and 6-3 in conference play. Kutztown advanced to the semifinals
with a thrilling 2-1 quarterfinal victory over Mansfield, which was decided in a shootout, with the Golden Bears winning 3-1.

The Series:
East Stroudsburg leads the all-time series with a record of 32-28-2. Last season, the Warriors won the regular-season matchup 2-1 in overtime at home, but Kutztown triumphed in the national championship, winning by the same score in regulation. This year, the teams played another tight contest, with Kutztown prevailing 4-3 at home.

Scouting ESU:
Offensively, ESU is led by Allyson Forman, Minke Klijn, and Jady van Gils, all of whom have scored 20 or more points this season and rank in the top 10 in points in the PSAC. The Warriors are the only PSAC team with multiple players in the top 10.
Defensively, Sydney Pope and Jet Vermeulen have started every game for the Warriors, with the team allowing a goal or less in 12 contests. The defense in front of them has been key, limiting opponents to just seven shots per game.
Van Gils is the lone returner named All-PSAC last year, when she was named Athlete of the Year. Earlier this season, she earned both PSAC and NFHCA D2 Athlete of the Week honors after scoring three goals and adding three assists in a 2-1 week for the Warriors.

Scouting Kutztown:
Erin Gonzalez leads the Golden Bears with 27 points on 11 goals and five assists, ranking fifth in the PSAC. Kutztown's offense has drawn 218 corners, leading the PSAC, and ranks second in shots (332) and fourth in goals (57).
Mia Kepler has been the primary goalkeeper, starting 16 games and allowing 1.01 goals per game. Her four shutouts rank fourth in the PSAC. Kutztown's defense has allowed just 5.2 shots and 3.16 corners per game.
The Golden Bears returned four All-PSAC selections from last season, including Grace Harrold, who was named PSAC Athlete of the Week earlier this season after scoring a goal and adding two assists in a 2-0 week for Kutztown. Erin Gonzalez, Juliana Donato, and Danielle Panati were also named All-PSAC last season.

The Coaches:
Sandy Miller, a three-time PSAC champion and two-time NCAA champion, is in her 40th season as head coach of the Warriors. With 512 career wins, she ranks third all-time in Division II. Miller and the Warriors aim for their tenth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and seek to become the third program to win three straight PSAC titles.
Marci Scheuing is in her 11th season as head coach at Kutztown. Last season, she led the Golden Bears to their first NCAA championship. A two-time PSAC Coach of the Year, Scheuing aims to win her first PSAC title and guide Kutztown to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. She is 138-70 all-time at Kutztown.

A Look Ahead:
The winner of Friday's semifinal will advance to face either No. 1-seed Shippensburg or No. 4-seed Bloomsburg in the PSAC Championship on Sunday, Nov. 10, at noon from Robb Sports Complex.
