EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's basketball team (3-5, 0-3) lost 73-44 to Edinboro (8-1, 4-0) Sunday afternoon inside Koehler Fieldhouse. The Fighting Scots, winners of five straight, are tied for the top spot in the PSAC West.

Emily Chmiel once again led the Warriors in points and rebounds with eight points and six rebounds. She also contributed defensively with a steal and two blocks.
Corrin Gill recorded a game-high six assists for ESU, marking her second consecutive game with six assists.
Edinboro held advantages in shooting (43.3/27.3/85.7 - 29.2/7.7/55.6), points off turnovers (17-9), second-chance points (18-10), and points in the paint (44-22). This marks just the second time this season that an opponent has outscored ESU in points in the paint.
How it happened
The Fighting Scots jumped out to a big first-quarter lead, outscoring the Warriors 22-4. ESU played closer in the following quarters even having the advantage the fourth quarter scoring margin, but Edinboro's early lead proved insurmountable.
